The different stages of growth

Breeding with Integrity Transparency and Love:
At Tails End Ranch our number one goal is giving your puppy the best start in life. It begins with health: we own all of our parent dogs and every single one has a clear health panel. We are committed to breeding for longevity so you can enjoy a lifetime of love without genetic health concerns.
Early Development & Stimulation
We believe the first few weeks are the most critical. Between days 3 and 16 we perform ENS (early neurological stimulation) and ESI (early sent introduction) doing both of these exercises jump starts brain development and neurological growth earlier than normal.
Transparency & Connection
We offer a live video feed of the nursery and play area because we want you to never miss a moment; from eyes opening to their first time outside, we provide weekly photo shoots and detailed reports on every milestone.
Real-World Socialization
We don't just raise puppies we prepare them for the real world our puppies are exposed to power tools, lawn mowers ,chickens, and even "cat respect" training with our cat, Simon. They spend their days in our screened in turf area mastering the ball pit ,slide, and doggie door. By the time they leave us at 8 weeks ,they are potty trained, well socialized ,and ready to be a well-rounded member of your family.

Early neurologic stimulation (ENS) is proven to produce beneficial affects for their entire life.
All of our puppies go through the ENS program from newborn to 16 days of age.
The US Military developed this method designed to improve the performance of future working dogs, according to the Breeding Better Dogs program developed by Dr. Carmen Battaglia, esteemed breeder, judge, seminar presenter, and AKC board member.

Early Scent Introduction (ESI) is a specialized training protocol used by breeders to enhance a puppy's olfactory development by introducing a new, pungent natural scent each day between days 3 and 16 of life. During this critical neonatal period, when a puppy's eyes and ears are still closed, their sense of smell is already active and highly impressionable. The process involves holding a scentβsuch as lavender, pine shavings, or leatherβnear the puppy's nose for about five seconds and recording their positive, negative, or neutral reaction. Developed by researchers like Dr. Gayle Watkins, ESI is designed to improve adult scenting ability, boost confidence, and reduce long-term behavioral issues. It is particularly beneficial for dogs intended for service roles (such as diabetic alert), tracking, or hunting, as studies show these puppies often achieve scent-based milestones significantly earlier than those without this early stimulation.
